After a leopard entered the Mandawar village in Gurgaon’s Sohna area, a rampage began in which eight people were left with injuries.
The mob, armed with sticks and other weapons, beaten the feline to death but not before it ran amok for three hours spreading fear and panic.
Sarpanch of the village Dhan Singh said that the leopard was first spotted when it suddenly pounced on an unaware villager.
According to 35-year-old Sundar, who is a farmer and resides in the village, said that the incident took place around 8 am. He said that when the animal jumped in front of him he panicked and ran for his life waving his hands.
