Video of Indian Army Cadets Punished Mercilessly Goes Viral; Clarification Issued

Recently a video that had gone viral showing the ill treatment meted out to the Indian Army cadets sparked off a debate on social media platforms.

In the video some senior army personnel are seen whipping the recruits with rope and stick while another officer holds the cadets between his legs and stands on their hands.

 

After the video went viral Indian Army issued clarification that few soldiers breached the code against whom “necessary disciplinary action” had been taken.

 

The army also pointed out in its clarification that preventive measures have to taken to prevent such incidents to take place in future.
