Semma Rao is the sole female commando trainer in India who has been training the country's Special Forces for 20 years. But what's more amazing about her is that she does so without any monetary compensation.
 
A 7th-degree black belt holder in military martial arts, the multifaceted Seema is a combat shooting instructor, a firefighter, a scuba diver, an HMI medalist in rock climbing, and a Mrs India World pageant finalist.
 
Born to freedom fighter Professor Ramakant Sinari, who helped in the liberation of Goa from the Portuguese, patriotism runs deep in her blood. Someone who grew up listening to stories of India’s freedom struggle, she always had a desire to serve the country, which became a reality when she met her future husband Major Deepak Rao when she was all of 16.
