Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, Australia

Held every year during the month of April, the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show was held for the first time about two decades ago, in 1995. It is the only flower show in the world which is held at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Carlton Gardens and the Royal Exhibition Building. Needless to say, it’s also one of the most beautiful flower shows in the world and sees about 1,00,000 visitors every year.

Singapore Garden Festival, Singapore

Slated to take place from July 23 to July 31 this year at Gardens by the Bay, the Singapore Garden Festival is no less than a grand affair. Launched in 2006, the festival is held in the month of July every year and gets flower designers from different parts of the world every year. In its last installment, the Singapore Garden Festival featured over 50 designers from 15 countries, with over 50 displays and more than 250,000 plants bearing over 1,000 different species of flowers. The number of visitors stood at 3,00,000.

Ellerslie International Flower Show, New Zealand

Another famous flower show that’s been there for quite a while, New Zealand’s Ellerslie International Flower Show was held for the first time in 1994. The five-day festival is usually held towards the end of February or the beginning of March every year and showcases the latest offerings from the world of horticulture. The flower show is considered among the top five events held in the country and attracts over 50,000 people and over 200 exhibitors.

Philadelphia International Flower Show, United States

Considered as the biggest flower show in the US the Philadelphia International Flower Show takes place in the month of March every year, organised by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. Started way back in 1829, the show is known for introducing the newest plant varieties, garden and design concepts, and organic and sustainable practices.

Vaikunth Flower Show, India

Held at the Thane area of Mumbai every year, the Vaikunth Flower Show is inspired by the Royal Horticulture Society’s show that is held in Chelsea. Organised by the Piramal group in India, the show has 18 theme gardens showcasing a wide variety of flowers including roses, orchids and dahlias.
