Maria Sharapova has been suspended for two years for testing positive for meldonium at the Australian Open.
One of the most successful tennis players and the five-time Grand Slam champion was provisionally suspended by the International Tennis Federation in early March.
In addition to testing positive at the Australian Open, she also failed a test for meldonium in an out-of-competition control in Moscow on February 2.
While the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is trying its best to keep the games dope-free, rising cases of sportspersons using banned substance is an issue of great concern.
