Ravi Shastri, the former Indian all-rounder has been hogging the limelight for quite some time now. Recently, he was also involved in an ugly spat with former Indian captain, the southpaw Sourav Ganguly regarding the coach selection process.

 

Shastri, one of the contenders for India’s coaching position, had complained that Ganguly disrespected the coach selection process by not being present during his skype interview. Ganguly, on the other hand alleged that Shastri should have been physically present in the interview rather than holidaying in Bangkok.

 

Shastri was known for his big hitting and left arm spin in his playing days. The highlight of his career was when he was elected ‘Champion of Champions’ in the World Championship of Cricket in Australia in 1985.
