In a major goof up, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) issued an admit card in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for recruitment examination for head constable (HC) (Ministerial).
The admit card, which was uploaded on CRPF official website, was issued by it Group Centre in Rampur.
The admit card has Modi's photograph and name. However, the date of birth mentioned on the admit card is October 18, 1992. The father’s name on of the applicant has been mentioned as Rarendra Modi and the address is that of village Samrai in Amritsar.
The admit card (number 005615) was issued for test and scrutiny of papers for Group Centre at Rampur against roll number 2430026090 for the screening held on July 15 for clerical posts in the CRPF.
The admit card had a scanned photo of the Prime Minister suggests that despite the documents going through preliminary screening, the name of the PM was overlooked.
The CRPF noticed and removed the admit card only after it was reported by media. A senior official said (on condition of anonymity) that an inquiry has been ordered into the matter.
The officer said that an official statement will be soon issued and proper action will be taken against those found guilty.
Modi is not the only victim of such a gaffe. There are several other who have fallen prey to this.
