In 2012, India was shaken up by the Nirbhaya gang-rape incident. So ghastly the crime was, which took place in the national capital, Delhi, that it brought people seething with anger out on the streets and gave them a medium to channel their outrage towards a flawed system.
But a name — ML Sharma drew much ire of the people with his ludicrous remarks against women in a BBC documentary titled ‘India’s daughter’.
