Pusarla Venkata Sindhu – that's a name that India is going to be abuzz with for few days for her history achievement at Rio Olympics for the country. The shuttler bagged the silver medal in women's badminton final event.
After scripting history for India by becoming the first woman to enter the final of badminton, Sindhu was up against world number 1 player Caroline Marin to whom she lost but not without putting up huge fight.
"I am really very happy because an Olympic medal is something I am proud of. I wanted a gold medal but I'm still on cloud 9," said an ecstatic Sindhu, who became the first Indian woman to win silver medal.
"It was my aim to get a medal at Olympics. Happy I did it," She added.
