Noted philanthropist, businesswoman and style icon, Parmeshwar Godrej, the wife of famous industrialist Adi Godrej died at the age of 70 recently after a prolonged lung illness.  

Known for throwing some of the most lavish parties the city of Mumbai has ever witnessed, she turned out to be one hell of a glamorous socialite in close contact with the who’s who of the celebrity world.

Over the years, Parmeshwar Godrej stood up for several social causes and used her position in the society to benefit the needy.

But way before Parmeshwar came to be known as the famous socialite worldwide, few are actually aware that she in-fact belonged to a very simple family. Prior her union with Adi Godrej, Parmeshwar worked as an air-hostess with Air India. Belonging to a simpleton family, the young Parmeshwar’s life changed for good soon after.
