Overwhelmed with emotions, the new mother said that although she cannot see her daughter but she can feel her. “It’s an amazing feeling, I can’t express my joy,” said 31-year-old Sonali.

She was just 17 when her suitor along with his two friends, broken into her bedroom and poured acid on her face and eyes leaving her scarred for life.

The accused — Tapas Mitra, Sanjay Paswan and Bhrahmadev Hajra — used a chemical that is used to take rust off metal tools to disfigure Sonali’s face.
