He Befriended This London Woman On Facebook, Then This Is How She Duped Him With Money Transfers

A case of foul play by a woman in London who was befriended by a man in Lucknow has come to the light. The woman, identified as Joy Stanley, tricked the man into transferring several thousands of rupees into a bank account.

 

Tarkeshwar Singh, who is originally from Bihar, made friends with Joy on Facebook in October last year, and he told that the exchange of messages between the two was quite frequent.

On December 27, Joy put forth a proposal to start a business in partnership with Tarkeshwar and said she’s coming to India.

 

The same, Tarkeshwar told, he received a phone call from Delhi airport’s custom official woman who said that Joy has been detained with Rs 3 lakh demands draft in Tarkeshwar’s name, a laptop, a mobile phone and box.

 

The custom official woman told him that a fine of Rs 1.85 lakh is being levied on Joy and that she is carrying only 1,200 with her which is valued Rs 1 lakh when converted.

 

She further told him that for Joy to be released he needs to deposit Rs 85,000 in a bank account whose number was shared with him.
