Canadian Woman Who Left Glamorous World Of Modelling To Fight Militants In Syria Told This About ISIS

Life in Syria lies in ruins at the hands of one of the most feared terrorist groups ISIS. But if you ask Hanna Bohman, a Canadian model who joined Kurdish women army to fight Islamic State, the militants in Syria have “mostly been disappointing.”

Hannah, contradicting the projection of the Islamic State fighters, had once said that these militants appear eager to run away at first sign of resistance.

"They're not some giant, holy juggernaut of ultimate damnation for unbelievers," she had told Business Insider. "They're just a bunch of filthy, mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging pigs who run away at the first sign of resistance. Really nothing more than a thorn in the side," she told.

The 47-year-old Canadian model fought on and off in Syria in 2015 after joining the Kurdish Women’s Protection Units. But what inspired her to jump in the battlefield against the terror group was an ISIS propaganda video featuring a Canadian who had gone to fight with the jihadists.

After recovering from a near-fatal motorcycle accident, Hanna, also known as 'Tiger Sun' left Vancouver for Iraq despite no prior combat experience.
