Maybelline’s First Male Beauty Star Shuts Down Homophobic Troll, Who Said, “Dads Should Teach Boys to Be ‘Real Men’”

Recently named Maybelline’s first male spokesperson, Manny Gutierrez, is cloud nine. But not everyone will let him have his cake and eat it too.

Blogger Matt Walsh passionately made a case against Manny Gutierrez with a post titled, “Dads, We Can't Expect Our Sons to Become Real Men If We Don't Teach Them How." Walsh’s trolling didn’t end there either. He tweeted a photo of Maybelline’s first male spokesperson with a caption, “Dads, this is why you need to be there to raise your sons."

Gender norms, these days, seemed to be in the eye of the storm.

Manny Gutierrez’s Father responded the troll blogger head on. He said, "Let me first begin by telling you that I’ve always been there for my son and will ALWAYS be there for him. Not only am I proud of what he has accomplished but I’m more proud of the person he has become. "

He added, “I know the words you speak are from lack of knowing anybody from the LGBT community. If you did, you would soon realise they are some of the most real and kindhearted individuals that walk this planet of ours."
