Republic Day Special: Rare Photos Of Important Events In Indian History That Will Change Your Outlook Of Our Country’s Past

The royality of UAE graced the Republic Day function this year, as Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan witnessed the grand event showcasing India's best-of-best at Rajpath on Jan. 26, 2016. India has come a long way from being the a Republic for the first time in 1950, to celebrating its 68th Republic year in 2017. And this journey has not been without its ups and downs. 

 

India's independence was hard earned, the equally tougher was the challenge to convert the country into a republic by putting into effect a Constitution that would bind the whole nation.
