Swami Haridas Tansen Sangeet – Nritya Mahotsav
Swami Haridas–Tansen Sangeet-Nritya Mahotsav has been enchanting the connoisseurs, music lovers in Delhi for the past 11 years on a modest scale to an invited audiences who are enthusiastic about the tradition of classical music and performing arts.
Sri Ram Centre For Performing Arts and Bharatiya Sangeet Sadan are keenly endeavoring to focus on and commemorate the legendary guru-shishya parampara that was prevalent during the Mughal period between two of the greatest musical geniuses of India, the venerable saint-musician, poet and composer of Brindavan Swami Haridas and his illustrious disciple Mian Tansen – to keep alive and spread their heritage towards a cultural ‘renaissance’ and resuscitation of the musical ethos.
The spirit behind this festival is Uma Sharma (well known Kathak Dancer) and this festival originally started at Vrindavan with Swami Shri Gopalji of Vrindavan and then shifted to Delhi.
