India Habitat Centre in collaboration with Sahmat invites you to a musical evening with Shubha Mudgal. The well-known Indian singer of Hindustani classical music, khayal, thumri, dadra, and Indian pop music will be here on stage to present before the best from each music genre.
Born 1959 in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, Shubha started performing as a Hindustani classical singer in the 1980s. Soon, she gained a reputation as a talented singer. The singer has been awarded the 1996 National Film Award for best non-feature film music direction for ‘Amrit Beej’, the 1998 Gold Plaque Award for Special Achievement in Music and few more.
