JEE (Advanced) 2016 Results Declared, All Three Toppers Are from the Same Institute

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)-Advanced 2016 results have been declared and 36,566 of the 1.5 lakh-odd candidates who took the exam, have qualified for admissions into the country's leading IITs.
 
Interestingly, the top three ranks have been grabbed by the students of the same institute – Kota-based Allen Career Institute.
 
Jaipur’s Aman Bansal has topped the JEE (Advanced) 2016. Bhavesh Dhingra of Yamuna Nagar plunged the second rank while Kunal Goyal from Jaipur clinched the third position.
 
 
While Aman and Kunal took coaching at the institute’s Jaipur centre, Bhavesh studied at Chandigarh.
 
Aman, who scored 320 marks to clinch the top slot in JEE Advanced in the country, wants to pursue computer science from IIT Mumbai.
 
Four new Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) will begin offering admissions to candidates through JEE Advanced from the academic year 2016-17 onwards.
 
According to IIT officials, the newly introduced IITs include IIT Chhattisgarh, IIT Goa, IIT Jammu and IIT Karnataka. With the addition of these 4 new IITs, the total number of IITs has now gone up to 23.
 
The JEE exams 2016 were organised by IIT Guwahati. If we look at the Zone-wise distribution, a total of 8,810 candidates, including topper Aman Bansa, have qualified for IIT Bombay. 
 
A total of 5,941 candidates have qualified for IIT Delhi, whereas 2,468 and 4,443 candidates have respectively qualified for IIT Guwahati and IIT Kanpur.
 
Similarly, 4,560 students have qualified for IIT Kharagpur, 6,702 candidates for IIT Madras and a total of 3,642 have qualified for IIT Roorkee.
