Infosys techie Swathi S (24) usually took a train to her office from Nungambakkam railway station in Chennai every day. However, fate had its own cruel plans for her on the morning of 24th June. Her stalker attacked her with a sickle and she bled to death on the platform itself.

People close to her have cleared that one of her friend was infatuated with her and was pressuring her for marriage. Despite constant refusals of Swathi, he continued to stalk her for several months from the station to her workplace. Witnesses recalled that after killing Swathi, her attacker left in another train.
