A Surprise Kiss for Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Bengaluru

A woman planted a kiss on the cheek of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who was attending a state-level program of Kuruba Community at Palace Ground, Bengaluru on Sunday.
 
The incident happened when the Chief Minister was distributing prize to Panchayat members. This is when Girija Srinivas, a taluk panchayat member from Tarikere in Chikmagalur district, kissed him on his cheek.
 
However, later she clarified that she was so excited to see him for the first time and it was like expressing the love of a daughter to her father.
 
"He (Siddaramaiah) is like my father. I call him Appaji (Dad). I was a big fan of CM since my school days. I met him for the first time. I could not control the excitement and I kissed him," Girija, who reportedly belongs to Siddaramaiah's assembly seat Varuna in Mysore district, was quoted as saying by a news website.
 
According to the report, Siddaramaiah too clarified saying "the woman who kissed me is equivalent to my daughter age and there is no such issue."
