7th Pay Commission Brings 23.5% Hike In Salaries: Govt Hails It As Big Bonanza

The 7th Pay Commission has arrived and its recommendations were accepted by the central government on 29th June. As per the commission, all government employees and pensioners will be provided a hike of 23.5 percent in salary and allowances.

 

The central government has hailed the recommendations and stated that more than 1 crore employees will be benefited. The numbers will constitute more than 47 lakh employees, out of which 14 lakh employees and 18 lakh pensioners represent the defence forces.

 

However, the opposition has come out with all guns blazing and criticized the commission’s recommendations as highly disappointing. They have also claimed that government employees felt highly disillusioned by the Modi government’s implementation of the commission.
