Parthiv Patel Back in India’s Test Side and Twitterati Take a Dig at His Selection

Parthiv Patel is making a comeback eight years after he played his last Test match for India after he got selected to replace injured wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha.

 

Saha strained his left thigh in the second Test against England in Visakhapatnam. The announcement that Saha will be sitting out for the third match came 15 hours after the India squad had been announced.

 

As Saha was advised rest, Parthiv earned a recall for the third Test match against England that will be played on November 26 in Mohali.

 

In 2002, Parthiv became the youngest wicketkeeper in Test cricket at 17 years and 153 days.

 

As soon as the announcement of his return was made, Twitterati pounced on the chance to have a bit of fun with some witty tweets, as usual.
