80-Year-old Man Throws Grandson From 6th Floor After a Fight With His Son’s Wife

Mumbai police has arrested an 80-year-old man for throwing his grandson from the balcony of the sixth floor of his house after a fight with his daughter-in-law (the boy’s mother.)

 

The accused, Nivrutti Kharche was at loggerheads with his daughter-in-law Surekha and complained that she did not serve him food on time. He was also worried about his ill health and used to get fussy about trivial things.

 

The duo had a disagreement over some property issue which ultimately turned sour. When Surekha went inside the kitchen to finish her household work, Kharche picked up the baby and threw him out of the balcony, said a senior police inspector.

 

The boy, Mayuresh Kharche (3) was rushed to the hospital but he was pronounced dead by the doctors.

 

The daughter-in-law registered a case against Kharche in the Vakola police station, alleging that he intentionally threw her son in a fit of rage at the previous altercation with her that led to his death.
